November 2014 : Major Schools Commission
Armours are about to embark on a commission to support the delivery of a £15m major schools programme of work for Moray Council. Having recently secured a commission for the provision of Quantity Surveying services for the refurbishment of 4nr Primary Schools in the region, we are delighted to develop and strengthen our presence in the North of the Country.
September 2014 : Big Lottery Assessors
Armours have been successful in bidding, on a quality and price basis, to assist The Big Lottery Fund with the assessment process for the Stage 2 Coastal Communities Fund. The purpose of these assessments is to provide non-technical funding staff with an evaluation of the credibility of the applications in terms of technical issues.
September 2014 : Tayport Community Hub
In a joint bid with Collective Architecture, Armours have been successful in being appointed to provide QS and CDMC services for the new Tayport Community Hub for a Stage 2 Lottery Submission. The derelict old Abertay Works site is to be transformed from a blighted toxic eyesore into a bright and vibrant new centre for the Tayport Community, bringing an exciting “go-to” venue in Tayport for the local people to use and benefit in many different ways – community, sport, arts, tourism and business included.
August 2014 : Continued CHAS Accreditation
The practice is delighted to successfully retain CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) approved Designer and CDM Coordinator status.CHAS, a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK and we are delighted to continue to meet the high standards required by the assessment.
July 2014 : Sportscotland Sports Facility
Armours are delighted to have assisted Sportscotland deliver this fantastic Community Sports project at their National Sport Centre in Largs. The facility provides an excellent indoor 3G pitch for Football and Rugby and shall be used by top UK and Worldwide Athletes in the years to come.The project further enhances the facilities currently offered by Sportscotland at this world renowned site and is the culmination of many months determination and Community fundraising.
