Training

We are committed to the continued training and personal development of all our partners and staff to equip them with the necessary technical and life skills required to meet the needs of the present and the challenges of the future.

We continue to invest in our Trainee programme, sponsoring Trainees to study part time on the BSc Course in Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University (1 day per week). When not at University our Trainees work on live projects with our partners and staff. This blend of part academic/part office based experience provides an excellent foundation for development.

Once graduated from University, we have an RICS approved structured training programme to support and train them towards achieving chartered surveyor status. Central to this is the enthusiastic involvement of our experienced personnel within the practice acting as Supervisors and Counsellors.

Partners and staff enthusiastically embrace the concept of constantly continuing to expand their knowledge and experience. All personnel receive an annual appraisal, which assists in identifying individual training and development requirement.

Continual Professional Development is achieved through a combination of attending externally organised training courses and seminars with those attending disseminating the knowledge which they have gained throughout the Practice, by holding regular in-house seminars at which particular topics are openly discussed, experiences shared and lessons learned and by daily interaction, peer support and respect.

One of our Partners recently sat on an external panel to assist in reviewing the content of the BSc and Masters Degree courses in Quantity Surveying at the Glasgow Caledonian University.
