Well Done Heather: RICS Scotland Student Awards
Our Heather McIntyre’s dissertation has won the Quantity Surveying and Construction category of the RICS Scotland Student Awards. This is a competition that the RICS runs every year and involves all the four Scottish Universities (Heriott-Watt, Napier, GCU and Aberdeen) that run construction related courses including real estate submitting the best student dissertations under various categories.
Heather notes “I am delighted to receive this award although it is partly owed to the dedication and support of my dissertation supervisor, Dr Ian Trushell. I am also indebted to Armour Construction Consultants for their encouragement and sponsorship, without whom I would not have amassed such an achievement. The flexibility which GCU offers in allowing part-time study while gaining valuable experience in the working environment has provided a solid foundation for my future career in the construction industry.”
