Alastair is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. Having studied at the Glasgow College of Building and Printing he started work with Armour Construction Consultants in 1977.

Alastair became a fully qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1982 and has progressed through the ranks in Armours becoming a Partner in 1997.

He is an enthusiastic supporter of adopting a pragmatic and collaborative approach to the procurement and management of construction projects.

Particular areas of interest and expertise include Building Engineering Services, Risk Management and the Setting up and Implementation of Contractor's Frameworks.

Hailing from Paisley, he finds that the parsimonious characteristics which are universally considered to be "in the genes" of all Buddies, can be extremely beneficial in the Cost Management of Construction Projects.
